Arve R. Pisani's personal call is to give a lasting voice to the soldiers who fought in Normandy—men whose experiences shaped history but whose personal stories have too often remained unheard.

For more than fifty years, Pisani has worked to recover these individual accounts through thousands of letters, interviews, battlefield studies, and primary documents gathered from archives across several countries. His purpose has always been clear: to ensure that the memories entrusted to him are not lost to time.

By focusing on the micro level of World War II—one platoon, one squad, one soldier—he seeks to restore the human dimension to events too often described only in broad strategic terms. Each book, each project, and each page he writes aims to illuminate the courage, suffering, and resilience of ordinary men caught in extraordinary circumstances.

His mission is to preserve their voices with accuracy, dignity, and honesty—so that future generations may understand not only how the battles were fought, but who fought them.
Through his work, these long-overlooked stories return to the historical narrative where they belong, ensuring that the sacrifices of these soldiers are recognized, remembered, and never forgotten.
